Social area to meet folks, cost price beers, laundry area and access to swimming pool, all for 6 euro a night, and the staff on the 4th floor very friendly and helpful - recommended if overnighting in Phuket Town
- B D Macharper on 17th May 2010Room = 5, Service = 3, Facilities = 5, Location = 5I very much enjoyed my stay and found the staff very helpful -sadly the standard of English was quite poor with all the young ladies which was a shame but they did their best. The male staff seemed to have a higher standard of English so there was always someone there to rescue me but I would recommend some other languages would be most useful. However, everything was very nice. But I did not like being asked to pay in advance - that is was a first ever for me(except in poor grade places) and I was quite offended by this practice. All in all a very pleasant stay.

You can imagine when it was built - in the 70 s judging by the decor - it was magnificent, but now it all looks a bit sad and tired. The highlight of the lobby is a photo of Ricky Martin with the staff!
- Frank Robert Arnesen on 12th February 2010Room = 1, Service = 1, Facilities = 1, Location = 4, Reservation = 5Du får vad du betalar för, Sunkit nedgående hotel med inpyrda mattor av rök och annat som man inte vill veta vad.Ingen aircond i receptionen eller i andra allmänna utrymmen så det var varmt överallt utom på rummet, där det satt en AC av nyare medell som läckte vatten. Rummet var slitet och det var inte mycket som fungerade, sawadees bilder ljuger.Som sagt man får vad man betalar för.Bra läge i stan för en övernattning. F o K
- john zubatiuk on 18th December 2009Room = 5, Service = 5, Facilities = 4, Location = 5The hotel is very accessable from the long distance and airport bus station (400 meters). It is built on the scale of old grand hotels with the rooms being very spacious and clean but dated. The windows are expansive and either look out over the harbour or, on the other side, over the hills. Hallways have either carpets or marble floors. The huge advantage of this hotel is its location. Its next to a shopping mall in the center of town. It is also close to excursions to various islands (they all use the pier in Phuket town). It is an etremely comfortable place to unwind from a long plane or bus ride.
