Mountain Biking
The centre of biking activity, the most scenic route is from Doi Inthanon to Ob Luang George via Mae Chaem. The first leg, a route of about 20 kilometres, is strictly for experienced mountain bikers while the second section, 30 kilometre long, is less demanding and suitable for bikers of intermediate skills and higher.

Bird Watching
This northern capital is on important bird watching destinationl. Doi Inthanon, The highest peak in Thailand at 2,565 metres above sea level, froms the southernly end of the Himalayan range and provides a home for 364 species of birds, many of them not seen elsewhere in the country. The best time for bird watching is from November to February.

Whitewater Rafting
Rafting down the Mae Chaem through Ob Luang George in inflatable boats is available through Mae Sot Travel. Another challenging route is the Mae Tuen in Omkoi District, where the river rushes through virgin forests to end at the Pha Dam Waterfall. No rubber raft is available at the site, so it's best to book a trip with a tour agent in Chiang Mai.

Air's Thai Culinary Kitchen was established in 2004 by Mr. Chanrat "Air" Karatna. Air was inspired to help visitors learn Thai cooking so that tourists could learn how to cook their favorite delicious Thai foods when they returned to their own countries. The kitchen classroom of Air's Thai Culinary Kitchen is surrounded by herb and spice gardens that you will pick and use in the course making the learning of Thai cooking a truly unique experience.

Trekking
The best trails are found in Doi Inthanon National Park where over 360 bird species, spectacular butterflies, wildlife, orchids and other distinct flora vie for the hiker's attention. Within the national park, there are beautiful Siriphum and Chedi waterfalls. The Army Pack Division Headquarters on Chotana Road in Mae Rim District offers camping trips and horseback riding along with basic jungle survival skills training.
